History
The Church of Christ the King stands at 29 Listopada Avenue 195, on Górka Narodowa, in the Gotyk estate in Prądnik Biały. It is served by diocesan priests. The church is home to a parish of the Kraków-Prądnik deanery of the Archdiocese of Kraków, separated in 2001 from the parish of the Lord Jesus the Good Shepherd.
The story of the site began in 2000, when a plot was set aside on the newly built estate and a field altar was put up on it. Cardinal Franciszek Macharski blessed the building site on 17 November that year. In 2001 the first brick chapel was built, where services were held until 2010, and at the end of 2003 the parish house followed.
Construction of the church itself began with the foundations in December 2006. The walls went up in 2007-2008, and by the end of 2009 the building had reached the closed shell stage. In 2010 the congregation moved from the chapel into the main nave, and in 2012 pews were brought in, completing the main stage of the work. Parish groups include a schola, altar servers and readers, the Light-Life Movement "Oaza" and the Living Rosary of Women.
