History

All Saints' Church stands in Górka Kościelnicka, in the Nowa Huta part of Kraków. It was built in 1646-1648 on the site of an earlier church, funded by Barbara Morsztynowa, the owner of Kościelniki. It was consecrated in 1698, rebuilt in 1777, and thoroughly restored in 1994-2000.

It is a log-built structure. The church has no tower - the only feature above the nave is a small Baroque signature turret with a lantern. Inside, under false barrel vaults, there are paintings of saints and the Stations of the Cross, made in 1909 and completed in 1954. The altars are Rococo, from the 18th century, and the high altar holds a 17th-century painting of Our Lady of the Angels. The Rococo pulpit and the Baroque font are also worth a look.

Next to the church stands a masonry bell tower and gateway from 1823, funded by Count Józef Wodzicki; the founder's marble epitaph has survived in the passage. Beside it is a small war cemetery from the First World War. The Małopolska Wooden Architecture Route passes this way.

The former churchyard still holds the grave of Józef Zapalski (1805-1878), a veteran of the November Uprising and owner of Węgrzynowice.
