Wojtek was a Syrian brown bear adopted in Persia by soldiers of the 22nd Artillery Supply Company of General Anders's army. He travelled with them all the way to Monte Cassino, where the company supplied ammunition to the artillery. The monument in Jordan Park was unveiled in 2014.
