Monument to Wojtek the Bear in Żagań

The first monument in Poland to Wojtek, the bear who travelled with soldiers of the Polish II Corps from Persia to Italy. It stands on Słowiański Square, and Prof. Wojciech Narębski, a veteran of Wojtek's company, took part in its unveiling in 2013.
