History
Jalu Kurek Park is an intimate green enclave of 1.7 ha on Szlak Street in Kleparz. It began as the garden of the Montelupi Palace. Between the wars the palace and its park were handed over to the Society of the Divine Saviour (the Salvatorians). The palace housed Radio Kraków at the time, and the park was open to the public. Later the congregation took the grounds back and closed them to local residents. After the land was bought from the Society of the Divine Saviour, the park opened on 1 January 2023. The paths were cleared, the trees were surveyed and lighting was installed. Its surviving old trees are especially valuable.
