History
Dębniki Park on Praska Street is one of Kraków's youngest parks. It was designed by staff of the Institute of Landscape Architecture at the Kraków University of Technology. It consists of two parts separated by an industrial site: the larger one lies on Praska Street and the smaller one on Czarodziejska Street, and both border the Vistula Boulevards. At the back stands the Neo-Renaissance Lasocki palace. It was the Lasocki family who gave the city the land for the park. Between the wars the palace housed an institution for poor boys run by the Albertine Brothers.
Did you know?
The wooden footbridges and benches built into the layout of the paths are meant to recall the old park that once surrounded the small palace.
