History

Park Maćka i Doroty (Maciek and Dorota Park) lies in the Swoszowice district, between Kluka, Borkowska, Wichrowa and Narvik Streets. Since 2004 it has been named after Maciek and Dorota - its patrons are Maciej Szumowski and Dorota Terakowska, distinguished journalists of the "Gazeta Krakowska" newspaper. On 16 October 2010 a plaque dedicated to their memory was unveiled. The park is crossed by paths with benches, and in its western part, towards Borkowska Street, it has a woodland character. There are playgrounds, a sports pitch, a sledging hill and a little street library.

Did you know?

Two trees were planted in the park in honour of its patrons: a rowan for Dorota and an elm for Maciej.
