History

Pychowice Park in Dębniki, covering 1.447 ha, is one of the newer green spaces on the map of Kraków. To the east and west it borders woodland, and to the north the footpath and cycle path along Zakrzowiecka Street. Its layout was prepared on the basis of consultations with residents. The park has three zones: recreation, with a grass pitch, an outdoor gym, a boules court and minigolf courses; community, with a pavilion, picnic and chess tables and a community garden with raised beds for growing vegetables; and contemplation, in the quietest eastern part, with a tall swing overlooking the meadows and hammocks under the trees.

Did you know?

The plantings in the park include 11 small-fruited pear trees of the "Chanticleer" variety and almost 336 perennials.
