History

Wadów Park in the Wzgórza Krzesławickie district is a former manor park from the second half of the 19th century. It surrounds the Neoclassical Badeni manor house from 1874, and the manor and park complex was entered in the register of monuments on 21 December 1998. The park is quadrilateral in shape and covers 2.8 ha.

The last owner of the estate was Zofia Kuligowska, who ran it from 1930. After the Second World War the estate was parcelled out and nationalised, and in the 1960s and 1970s the farm buildings and the wall were pulled down and the ponds filled in. The manor house was home to a kindergarten, which moved out in 2003. A viewing mound survives in the south-eastern part, and a flower garden with four beds has been recreated next to the viewing terrace.
