History
Tadeusz Kościuszko Park lies in Prądnik Biały, between Mackiewicza, Białoprądnicka and Górnickiego Streets, and covers 4.44 ha. The Prądnik river, also called the Białucha, flows through the park and gives it its picturesque charm. Lime trees, elms and horse chestnuts grow here, and the layout of the park is defined by two intersecting avenues that refer to the palace. In summer you can feed the ducks from the footbridge over the river. The park lies in the Prądnik Valley, near the Białoprądnicki Manor, and serves as a space for recreation and for arts programmes organised by the "Dworek Białoprądnicki" Cultural Centre.
Did you know?
According to legend, Tadeusz Kościuszko rested under one of the maple trees in the park in 1794. That is where the place gets its name.
