History

St Vincent de Paul Park in the Krowodrza district was laid out after the Second World War, on land once occupied by the mission and parish gardens of the Church of Our Lady of Lourdes. At first it was named after Adam Polewka, a writer and member of the Legislative Sejm, and his monument, which stood here, was removed after 1989. By a resolution of Kraków City Council in 1991 the park was named after St Vincent de Paul. After a tender decided in 2008, it was renovated.

In April 2010 a monument to the park's patron, the work of Dr Karol Badyna, was unveiled.
