History
This 1.6 ha park was created on land that once formed part of the back-up facilities of Kraków Fortress. There were tracks here, a shed for the narrow-gauge field railway and a standard-gauge siding from Składowa Street. Until the 1980s the site served as a base for construction companies, then it was used for workers' allotments, and after that it was left without a user and became overgrown. It was regenerated in 2024-2025. Most of the wild enclaves with their plant and animal habitats were left untouched, and the site's former use is recalled by rails on concrete sleepers, laid where the internal tracks used to run, and by a wooden train in the playground. Remains of steps and foundations and a small former transformer station have also been kept.
