Aviator Dragon
Dragon Trail
The Aviator Dragon stands in front of the passenger terminal of Kraków Airport in Balice and refers to the aviation character of the place.
History
The Pilot Dragon stands in front of the terminal of Kraków's airport in Balice. It is perched on a globe, as if it had stopped between one journey and the next, and holds a paper aeroplane in its paw. This simple little plane is a reminder that aviation began with dreams. The airport dates back to the 1960s as a military airfield and over time became a modern civil airport. Its patron is St John Paul II. The Aviation Education Centre runs workshops and presentations here that bring aviation closer to young and old alike.
