MAYAMURAL - murale na koniec świata

Kraków Murals

Mural, Podgórze district. A mural is a large painting made directly on the wall of a building.

History

Mayamural is a mural on the wall of the town house at 24 Józefińska Street in Podgórze. It belongs to a series of paintings from 2011-2012 created on Podgórze buildings by Artur Wabik together with Aleksandra Toborowicz and a group of students from the Kraków Academy of Fine Arts. The series also included Typomural, Ekomural and Lem's Robot, located on Traugutta, Lipowa, Józefińska and Krakusa streets. The Mayamural itself is attributed to Aleksandra Toborowicz. Józefińska Street is one of Podgórze's oldest thoroughfares - it was laid out when the town received its town charter in 1784.
