Pustułka zwyczajna
Kraków Murals
Mural in the Bieżanów-Prokocim district showing a bird species (Polish name: Pustułka zwyczajna). It is one of about a dozen bird murals in this area. A mural is a large painting made directly on the wall of a building.
History
A common kestrel looks down from the gable wall of the block at 19 Nowosądecka Street on the Na Kozłówce estate. Residents received it in 2019, together with six other birds that joined the "Birds" series. All the murals in the series are by the artist Wojciech Rokosz. They are painted when gable walls are renovated and show wild birds living in the area. The "Na Kozłówce" Housing Cooperative describes the kestrel as a bird that gazes at the residents majestically.
