History

Aleksandry Park lies in the Bieżanów-Prokocim district, in the valley of the Bieżanowski stream. It is a place for recreation and relaxation for residents of the densely built-up Nowy Prokocim and Nowy Bieżanów estates. It has two parts: the southern part, bounded by Wielicka, Jerzmanowskiego, Aleksandry and Ćwiklińskiej Streets, and the northern part. On 2 August 2017 the Municipal Greenery Authority and the Kraków University of Technology announced a competition for a design for the northern part. The park has many footpaths, playgrounds and multi-sports pitches.

Did you know?

The park pond is home to common frogs, common toads and green toads, and smooth newts. The many species of birds, among them chaffinches, wood pigeons and blackcaps, have made it a favourite spot for birdwatchers.
