Złocień Park
Explorer of Kraków's Parks · no. 41
Park type: standard. In this park you can collect a stamp in the "Explorer of Kraków's Parks" campaign run by Kraków's Municipal Greenery Authority (ZZM). Where to find the stamp: the booth is at the far end of the playground.
History
Złocień Park was created on Mariana Domagały Street in the Bieżanów-Prokocim district thanks to residents' involvement in Kraków's participatory budget, topped up with funds from the city budget. Its theme is a mountain pass: raised mounds play the part of the peaks, and the path running between them is the pass. The mounds are also meant to separate the park from the neighbouring blocks of flats.
The park has a linear layout and seven zones: a relaxation area with hammocks, a multi-purpose area with hills and slides, a sports area with table tennis tables, a picnic area, a second sports area for street workout, an area with swing benches and a space for children. More than 150 trees have been planted here.

The mounds are to be covered with a sown wildflower meadow, and the low greenery is complemented by shrubs and colourful perennial beds.
